Privacy Policy

The short version

Cheonmari does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no sign-up, no login, and no server of ours. Everything you write stays on your device.

What the app stores

The app saves the wishes you write and the paper cranes you fold. This is stored in your device's local storage so the app can show your jar again when you reopen it, and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud as described below.

We never see this content. It is not sent to us, and we operate no server that could receive it.

iCloud

If you are signed in to iCloud on your device, the app also stores the same content in Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store, so that your jar survives changing or losing your phone. This uses the Apple ID already signed in on your device. The app never asks for your Apple ID, never sees your credentials, and never receives your data. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. iCloud sync happens only while you are signed in to iCloud on the device. You can stop it by signing out of iCloud on the device. To remove the iCloud copy, use Erase all data inside the app (About).

What the app does not do

• No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
• No third-party SDKs. The only third party involved is Apple, whose iCloud service syncs your data between your own devices as described above.
• The app works fully offline. The only network request it makes is to read one small notice file from our own website (cheonmari.vercel.app) when it opens, so we can show you an update or service notice. Nothing about you is sent with that request beyond what any web request carries (your IP address, which our hosting provider Vercel may log briefly). We do not store or use it.
• No access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, including children under 13 (United States) or under 14 (Republic of Korea). No personal data is gathered regardless of the user's age.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. To erase the iCloud copy as well, open Cheonmari, About, Erase all data before deleting the app. This removes your wishes from both the device and your iCloud Key-Value Store. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing else for us to delete.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, or delete on request under CCPA (California), PIPA (Korea), or APPI (Japan). We do not sell or share personal information, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. Your data is entirely in your own hands.

Where the app is sold

Cheonmari is not distributed in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland at this time. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the app becomes available there.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date above changes with it.

Cheonmari is operated by Won&Tone (원앤톤), a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea.

Purchases are made through Apple's App Store, where Apple Distribution International Ltd. is the seller of record.
